Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur established in 1983 by Shree Warana Vibhag Shikshan Mandal, Warananagar. TKIET has emerged as one of the leading technological institutes in western Maharashtra, is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and recognized by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai, Govt. of Maharashtra and affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The main aim of the college is to become an academy of excellence in technical education and human resource development.Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering and Technology (TKIET) established in 1983. The Institute is located at Warananagar, 30 kms away from Kolhapur a district headquarter and 10 kms to the west from Kini-Wathar on Pune-Bangolare National Highway NH-4. TKIET has emerged as one of the leading technological institutes in Western Maharashtra. The Institute has a Lush-green campus spread over 30 acres in picturesque foothill of Lord Jyotiba and historical Panhala Fort to the north-east.The main aim of the institute is to develop engineering professionals of high repute with sound work and life ethics, to use information technology in meeting challenge of high quality teaching talent, to strive hard for good academic Results and placement of engineering professionals, to develop collaborative interactions with industries and national laboratories and to pursue research and development.

It gives me an immense pleasure to share my views about Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering and Technology, Warananagar. This prestigious institution has been established on 5th September, 1983. After completing 25 years of technical academic excellence during the year 2007-08, the institution has magnanimously celebrated its Silver Jubilee Year. Initially, the Institute started with three undergraduate branches with 180 intake and has now 498 intake with seven disciplines. The institute has maintained its own standard and discipline in technical education and got accreditation to majority of the branches in 2004.Today, TKIET has more than 5000 alumni on its record. It is my proud privilege to mention here that most of them are associated with national and international organizations, PSUs, MNUs and few of them have become successful entrepreneurs. I am really proud of them for their excellent performance and contribution to the society in particular and nation at large. I am also happy to mention here that the institute is fully made self-reliant with all amenities such as Hostel and Mess facility for 1179 boys and 742 girl students, 24 hours Electricity supply, Internet with Wi-fi environment with 10 Mbps leased line, Canteen to cater the need of nutritious food, Drinking water supply, Bank, Semi-Olympic Swimming Pool, Medical facility etc.The future plan for the development of TKIET includes commencement of Post-Graduate programs in all branches, Re-accreditation from NBA-AICTE to all the branches and to become an Autonomous Institution in near future.

About TKIET M.E/M.Tech Course :-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.
