Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women, Visakhapatnam was established in 2008 by Dr. Rathaiah, Chairman, Vignan Group of Institutions with an aim to act as a platform for young women engineers and budding managers to improve quality education and to provide full fledged training in professional curriculum. It is a center of excellence in value based education training, research and consultancy. The difference between the dreamers and innovators is that a dreamer just dreams and does nothing to realize it,while an innovator creates his own path to realize his ideas.That streak of originality is the distinct quality that makes them a breed apart from the mere mortals.Dr.L.Rathaiah, the Chairman of Vignan Group of institutions,is destined to be different. Or should we say,he chose to be different.He was not content with just teaching.He spotted the chinks in the education system in the state and went about changing it to make it more effective, productive and powerful. He successfully altered the education scenario in Andhra Pradesh. He brought about what is respectfully known in the literary circles as the ink revolution. The education fraternity was so enamored with his innovative style that they adopted the system without any reservation.The new system saw many students from the state opting for engineering stream, at Vignan and most of them have been absorbed by leading organizations in campus interviews and have turned out to be an asset to their companies."Human resources, especially trained and professionally qualified people are the strength and wealth of any country.This was the thought that promoted me to start Vignan. If today Vignan is successful,it only means that we are moving in the right direction. My desire is to see India at the pinnacle of glory it once was as a pioneer civilization".

About IITM M.E/M.Tech Course :-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere.
