Mahendra College of Engineering (MCE), Salem was established in 2005 is to meet the higher education needs of the students who seek to stand as engineers and scientists and it is managed under Mahendra Educational Trust  The college is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University. Since 1978, the Mahendra educational trust has grown in size, number and accomplishments and is imparting quality education at primary to higher level in Tamilnadu.
The college aims to impart education, to develop cognitive skills by which character is defined, cognition and creative process of brain is enhanced, mind sets the goal and given them knowledge to excel at any context and to impart education that best be applicable to society, advanced technology to meet the needs of productive sector.
